That's terrible Danny...
It'd certainly get you thinking about next time you jumped in the cart!!!
The stewards report is finally up from Tuesday...
"As the field were in the process of their preliminary, BLACK CAPRICE fell to the track and was subsequently found deceased. The on course Veterinarian immediately examined BLACK CAPRICE and was diagnosed to have suffered from a ruptured artery and Exsanguinated (bled out) into its abdomen. BLACK CAPRICE was withdrawn by Stewards at 6.07pm. The race was then rescheduled to commence at 6.25pm to allow the track curator an opportunity to remove the deceased horse and furthermore prepare the track.
Stewards took possession of the deceased horse so as a full post mortem can be undertaken and various testing also be done."
So at least the stewards have done the right thing here in my opinion!!!
And we'll all wait to see what comes from this...

I would doubt if there will be anything surprising to come from the post mortem...am sure the vets diagnosis will be confirmed.
