Mighty clash looms in Mares' Group 3 race
Just when we thought Carabella was about to go through another season dominating her age and sex a few 'red herrings' have been thrown into the mix. This week they come in the form of a returning De Lovely and an Aussie Forever Gold who will have the privilege of following Carabella throughout.
Carabella has the distinct advantage of the 1 barrier but this will be a stern test for her second-up after a solid hit out last week.
Carabella's arch rival Bettor Cover Lover will run next week in the Queen Of Hearts. Trainer Brent Mangos believes fresh up into the big show next week is best right now, rather than having to back up after a likely taxing run from this Friday.
All is well with Bettor Cover Lover and it will be great to see the mare back on the track after seemingly having her career tragically cut short last summer.
Twas great to see her not only back, but at her devastating best. Hearty congrats to all the connections on a job well done, we can look forward with great enthusiasm for her future efforts.
Nice to see her back. There seems to a real nice bunch of filles and mares on both sides of the Tasman at the moment. Brilliant.
