Matt Craven gets 4 weeks while Jason Lee gets off

I don't know the fella but he seems to be at the forefront of controversy recently. Luckily for him, reading the stewards report, the more drives you have the lesser the penalty you receive.
If there was any doubt, Boots Electric established that he will be a serious player for the next two or three years

Once it would have been Anthony Butt training/driving him but he blew it
I am a bit late catching up with the 'Trots' from Saturday night but must include Credit Master's win in this thread - he is the galloper at the start

I know they are only maidens and they are not going fast but I reckon 3yo Jilliby Rippa might be a tough type
He tried to get the lead for 600m, then he refused to give up the death, 400 out he took the lead, then fought on especially in the straight but was unable to deny the one who had the sit on his back

What a run by Yambukian to finish 3rd in R5 at Kilmore, he would have been within 0.5 of the Tk Record despite the run he had
There may have been some extenuating circumstances but Lance Justice's drive on Love Ina Chevy looked pretty ridiculous
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#KIM23072202
Ahem, try Lance Justice.
The winner was a top run as well, set alight from the rear entering the back straight and kept going. No doubt he appreciated his usual weight in the sulky being up in Queensland and being driven like he still has the ability he has always had.
Oops of course I knew it was Lance, funny how the old brain can stuff up when you are hurrying (to post between races)
This is some way to break your maiden status
3yo Modern Ginger had run a couple of 2nds before and would have broken 1.57 in the Melton one
but tonight he ran 1.55.2 for new trainer Naomi Kerr

You have to love a 7 wide run from last
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#GEC26122203
Well if you liked that - then you had better take a look at the next race on the program
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#GEC26122201
How about this for a run, I don't think there is any audio so keep your eye on the fav in the 1x1 who has every break imaginable
and the Red, White and Blue of Kerryn Manning in the 1x3 on the second favourite

If you like races where it is on from the get-go with plenty of action and a great finish.
You will like how keen all the drivers were in R9 at Maryborough today
I provide the result link BUT being Maryborough, if you want to see it before tomorrow you will have to use the TAB

R3 at Hamilton today - very nearly a triple dead heat
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...23#HMC15052303
If like watching a fighting finish - almost like match races, there were a half dozen at Charlton today
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...s/?mc=CH250523
I know they are not going Tk Rec speed (3 secs outside of it) but this is how a good horse wins first up
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...23#KIC01062302
How is this for a close finish from R5 at Bathurst last night
SHFD x SHFD x HFD x NK between the first 5
The winner actually lost a protest by the 3rd horse so was relegated to 3rd

Check out the 2yo race at Melton tonight
The More You Bet looked like he was dropping out around the final bend (or not handling the turn!)
Then look what happens on straightening

If you like hammer and tong racing - no sitting back, then do yourself a favour and enjoy the last at Melton replay

For those who may have missed it.
Watch the horse breaking behind the Mobile. The time (2:55.3) suggests they weren't walking.
Half brother to Don’t Stop Dreaming. It’s first win was really impressive, beating a nice horse called Rustenberg. Not quite like that though.
Sold for 60k at the NZB sales. It’s mother was a nice horse too, by American Ideal.
I had it in an all up win but missed the race and hadn’t watched the replay, so thanks for posting.
It is another one with Lumber Dream on its mares side, maybe that’s where the Dream part of its name comes from (Messenger put up a table showing how successful Lumber Dream was as a broodmare sire). Also related to Im the Black Flash who ran third in the WA Derby recently. It also has the American Ideal/In The Pocket cross on the mares side. Being by Captaintreacherous doesn’t hurt either.
Cruz has held the short course record at Horsham for over 5yrs at 1.53
Have a look at this win by 2yo Rockabilly Ringo in 1.54.9 at only his 3rd start
My only reservation is the good run by the 2nd horse who has not won in 18 starts now
The winner however did heaps early and won by 19m
Not a bad run by the 3rd horse on debut, who may be fitter for the run
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...23#HSC27112307
An added grain of salt to the above - the track must be very fast today as 11yo Modern Bliss just posted a PB going 1.54.4
Undefeated filly Very Pretty had her first run as a 3yo at Melton tonight and won by 53m rating 1.54 for 2240m
We are talking the Larrakeyah Lady family!
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#MXC04042405
This was a Serious win. He did not have it easy but won as he liked in 1.57 for the long trip - Spirit Of St Louis holds the Tk Rec at 1.55.6
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#SPC04062401
That is 4 in a row
Check out this sustained run by Sahara Breeze in Ht1 of the 4yo Mares Vicbred tonight
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#MXC30082410
Emma Stewart got a Jason Grimson in the 8th.
In the main race last night (R1) Better Eclipse's run was much the same
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#MXM31082401
Another good run at GP on Friday - not something you see very often at their track
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#GPM30082407
More of the same from GP with Belly Up coming from last in the $215k Gp1 for 2yo C&Gs
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#GPM06092402
First start for 10mths, drawn the 2nd line and yet Captain Ravishing wins in a time only 0.6 secs off the Tk Rec at Geelong
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...24#GEM13092406
The Geelong 2100m Tk Rec obviously needs improving for despite drawing the 2nd line, sitting in the death and two quarters of nearly 31 secs, Rakero Rebel was only 0.6 off that record
Freddy Taiba well done , great to see him back. Great drive David.
