Kev dont feel bad because Captain B never beats them on merit. Only ebats them on a ridiculous drive. New year new driver for Act Now if he is to reach his full potential.

Yes, I think if Jodi just cruises to the death and waits for the last 600m the iron horse Act Now could well have won
I should have added that I am a fan of the Captain, anybody that saw his first 2 runs the campaign before this just had to be - he set a Tk Rec leading then he came from back in the field in fast time at Melton
It has been very smart targeting by the stable to put him out and aim at tonight
As suggested Catch A Wave is a fantastic beginner and to withstand that bell lap challenge and win comfortably was very impressive. I think Matt Craven had a brain fade and should probably use brother Glen or Jason Lee more (cousin?)
It is a long night - we are only ¾ of the way through and I feel like I have been binge viewing :(
I commend Dan for being critical of the three 37 minute breaks between races late in the night - it is at least 7 minutes too long, you would not think it would make that big a difference but it really seems to drag
We really need to grow - with that 12th win of his career 3yo Cravache Dor just passes $200k
Then again 3yo pacer Encipher will notch up $575k if she wins the next
LOL Nathan Jack saying that most of the crowd are here for the fireworks but it is true that you just have to get the people there for a start
WOW I did not think Amore Vita could win tough like that
Point of difference is we're the sport for everyone not the sport of kings. Never going to compete if trying to compete based on how upmarket we are. This fellow is paying bills and bringing money into the industry, someone in Toorak might be more classy but they're not going to Melton. The sport needs characters, and the thing with characters is they dont always do things the politically correct way.
You can say we are the people's code and the clubs are run by people, by members, who make the rules. Dress codes are everywhere nowadays (including the trots) so even a rich bill payer can rarely escape them - quite often when just going out. So if the club want him to cover that up as it is going out on media, he should not be surprised. It is a matter of standards which people/members will have the final say on
Are you going to let him accept the trophy with absolutely any T-shirt Brendan?
For somebody to where that shirt with high confidence they would be photographed accepting the winner's trophy is detrimental to the image of the sport. That HRV occasionally has to remind participants about their standard of dress at our premier track demonstrates the lack of class and respect by some. Next time, perhaps, the owner might choose something more classy to reflect their status in the sport. May I suggest a silk shirt. Wire a pig's head mask.
Vicbred Finals WILL NOT be on New Years Eve in 2023 but rather in September
