Filly went nice and still has plenty of room for improvement.
After looking at the photos of Shark Gesture, she is a double.
I have rang EMPIRE, whom have not rang me back, to see if he will be coming out this season. Is anyone aware if he is?
Ty
Yeh, they're good pics. I thought maybe Ty might like to see what the filly's old man looked like.
Drivers in those pics are George Brennan (in the red & black) and Tim Tetrick (in the green & yellow).
The guy standing beside the horse in the unharnessed shots in the green & white with yellow stars is his trainer, Larry Remmen. Before the horse came down here for the first time he was trained by Erv Miller and driven by George Brennan.
I understand it's touch & go if he comes or not Ty and he probably wouldn't go back to Empire but anything could happen. He might still come to Oz or he might go to NZ...or he might not come down at all. The Owner/s is not/are not the easiest to deal with and on top of that, as great a race horse as he was & as good a sire as I think he will ultimately be, from a Southern Hemisphere stud perspective initially he'd be a somewhat difficult sell because right at the moment he doesn't have a high profile. I hope he comes down but I think it might be one of those things where the Studs down here will wait and see what his 1st crop does in the US/CAN. They went under the hammer back in August/September of 2010 so they should start racing later this year sometime.
Congrats Ty and welcome to the forum :)
just in case anyone should anyone feel the need to compare him to, oh...I dunno, perhaps some pictures of... Art Official ? :p
Now THAT'S A HORSE![/QUOTE]
Hello Triplev123,;)
Now thats more like you ! You should be a police officer I think. When reading them their Miranda rights I can imagine you saying "Anything you say can and WILL be used against you at a later point in time". I enjoyed your exchange over Art Official, as I like to see a statement backed up with as much fact as possible. I appreciate that you took the time to post the pictures of the stallions so that people could make up their own minds.
Evening Constable !
G'day LOC,
I've spent enough time in The Downing Centre over the years. If I hadn't picked up a trick or two by now I never will. :)
Geeze, it has taken Tappy long enough to jump aboard the Bandwagon.
I see that he picked Gesturestar as his 'one to follow' on In The Gig' this week.
I guess we can forgive Tappy for being a bit slow off the mark and quite frankly, in the end I'm relieved it wasn't The Minty Men...as in Adam 'The Kiss Of Death' Hamilton or Mick 'The Handbreak' Guerin...putting her forward. The way those guys tip... they could stop a runaway Bus.
$10 fixed at the moment. Get on!!
Geeze, that's serious overs. I thought she'd be a $3.00 shot max in that field.
Tried getting on through my mate's account on Bet Ezy but there not doing fixed odd's so down the pub i shall go.
Stay away from the Pool Table. ;);););)
Just made a phone call to get on Tab fixed odd's they have been currently suspended.
Currently Tab nsw still has fixed odd's suspended and Gesturestar at $2.60 the win and $1.04 the place but i can't tell how much is in the pool.
opened again now. into $8.50
Yeah took the $8.50 wish i had of known it would open up at $17.
$17! makes my 10's look paltry, and i thought i was so clever!
$17 into $7.50.
Errrrrrrgh. That wasn't very good to watch. :(
Donation to the Tab.
...............and how. I should have gone for a slap up nosh at Sushi Bay instead.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
That mare of Matthew Sandblom's...Left For Me...doing a smashing job isn't she. Very smart.
Doing a super job every breeders dream to see them doing so well.
At her former Happy Hunting Ground...Penrith.
Race 8. 9:47pm.
Hope we see something of the form we saw at her debut and also her latest win.
Good luck Ty.
Just looking at the first 3 races at Penrith and there running sometime there tonight. I done my money cold on her last time Triple so i'm prepared to go against her tonight and take The Eyreloom.
Huh?? Have been mystified why this thread was ever started in the first place and even more puzzled why it has continued to now with so many ongoing posts.
I hope that it can now be put to rest with another rather ordinary run just now by Gesturestar. Surely she's a "fair" 2YO but not worth all this attempted hype that some are putting forward in this thread. In fact , overall this whole thread is rather puzzling :-(
Know part owners on here it's just after seeing her first run and being one of the first to race by first season sire Shark Gesture it was a filly that a few of us thought would go onto bigger thing's. John Tapp on In The Gig even selected her for his tip of the week when she won at Penrith.
ive quite enjoyed this thread, no vested interest here either. have been burnt a couple of times though recently, but will continue to follow this filly as i too saw what mango saw, although from memory it was at cobram.
Yeah your probably right Paleface i'm not 100% sure where it was but it was a huge run.
Winner of that race at Cobram; Top Tamba 3rd in the colts heat tonight at Melton.
Shark Getsure's 3/4 brother BETTER BETTOR by Bettor's Delight is down to trial at the Meadowlands saturday night in rce 6.
Gesturestar is back trialling at Wagga.
Trialled well last week, the 2yo four starzz shark sibling trialled extremely well aswel
Thanks Harvey the breeding was a big reason we bought the horse, needed the run (opted for a restricted race instead of trial).
Can't wait to see artic fire in action. Keep us posted Harvey
James might get to drive her.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3PA0WoGWOE
ARCTIC FIRE
Good to see James get in Kelly's circle:)
