Supreme Dominator just broke Sicario's Cranbourne Tk Rec for 2080m rating 1.55.6
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#CRC03102101
The Kapiti Express won the Gawler Cup in 1.54.7 yesterday
By my calculations that is 2 whole seconds taken off the 2070m Tk Rec
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#AWC17102101
3yo Yambukian broke the Warragul 2210m Tk Rec going 1.56.2 when winning by 22m
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#WRC18102101
Didn't do it easy either, had to work hard 3w to the death and eventually the lead
The 2100m record at Geelong is 1.55.6
Tonight 3yo Bettor Call Me won by 18m in 1.56
He didn't have the best of luck in his first couple of starts after returning from a big Queensland campaign but in his last couple you can tell he is a serious horse
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#GEC19102102
1.55.3 a new Tk Rec to Pacifico Dream for 2100m at Geelong
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#GEM23102102
My calculations tell me that every runner bar last in R7 at Stawell today broke the Track Record (and last just missed by less than a metre)
The winner and new record holder Roquefort Cheese took 2.07.8 for the 1785m (and rated 1.55.2)
That equates to 13.97m per second (very close to 7m per half second)
6th was only beaten 6.7m (< half a second behind) and the old record was 0.5 seconds slower MR of 1.55.7
I could add that at the point that Roquefort Cheese hit the line, last place had rated 1.55.7 (the old record) for 7.7m short of the full distance - and most probably maintained that MR for his last 7.7m to cross the line
Anyway Roquefort Cheese took a massive 0.5 seconds off the previous best Tk Record / Mile Rate
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#SWC22112101
Expensive Ego's 1.50.6 takes a neat 1.5 secs off the Bathurst Track Record
AND HE WAS 3 DEEP FOR A LAP
and still runs his last Q in 26.3
3yo Filly Life Happens was having only her 2nd ever start today and she made it 2 from 2, both at Charlton
Her time of 1.55.6 in R.7 was only .6 secs outside Bondi Lockdown's Tk Rec for 2100m
You might need to wait a while to watch the replay (or go to the TAB website) as the the results replay the wrong race
Another example of speed was also a 3yo filly, the well performed Tay Tay in R.5 who ran her last Q in 25.8
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=CH021221
Sea Lover took 0.5 secs off the Stawell 2180m Tk Rec today
and Sonny Brooke took 0.1 secs off the trotters 2600m SS Tk Rec in winning the Cup
Like the winner of the pacing cup, these two also led all the way
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=SW121221
Young Nathan Rothwell is probably now in Kate Gath's bad book
In R.1 at Warragul today Kate was driving the stable's new 3yo NZer Southshore and it started $1.35 fav
However Nathan who is yet to have 20 drives was having his fifth drive on 6yo Celestial Gossip and he put it to the fav all the way
It was set up for outsider of the field Byalla Boy to come off the leader/fav's back and win
in 1.56.3 which is only 0.1 secs outside Yambukian's Tk Record for 2210m
Bailey McDonough had done a brilliant job to get the fav's back after starting from widest on the mobile

The GP track must have been lightning fast on Friday
There is nothing in the Stewards Column or on the HRA page for GP yet but
Vampiro's 1.52.6 for 2130m has to be a new Tk Rec
While Ideal Agent's 1.51.9 for 1730m was only 0.3 outside Chicago Bull's Tk Rec and that was sitting in the death
Ideal Agent only won 4 from 31 in NZ but has won 5 from 7 since going to WA. His unraced dam is a half sis to The Orange Agent
Willie Go West went South and won the Hobart Cup in Record time
https://harnesslink.com/australia/au...by-top-pacers/
Now a 3yo Captain Ravishing has run 1.52.5 at Melton while making it 2 wins from 2 starts
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...22#MXC14012206
Hopefully the replay will be up soon (it has been 1½ hrs since the race)
I always find it hard to locate age specific Track Records but Peter Wharton reports that the above run, just 2 wks into the season, broke the 3yo Tk Rec at Melton.
For an $8k race, the quarter by quarter splits were most impressive, as was the winning margin
Cash N Flow now a 9yo is going around in the whacky Mercury 80 (they can't go 80 = 26, 27, 27)
As a 7yo he did the unthinkable in winning 12 miles in a row at Menangle in the following times
For the whacky Mercury 80, I notice a horse's Performance Record no longer shows a Mile Rate - Good move as they didn't race a mile
But this needs to be cleaned up retrospectively too as when looking at Franco Jolto's Performance Record (he's in R3) you will see he is credited with going 1.47.8 (from last year's M80)
The track must have been fast at Swan Hill tonight
The 1750m Tk Rec is 1.53.4
We had two winners get within a second of that tonight
Vanquish Stride 1.54.2
3yo filly Beach Life 1.54.4
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=FD170222
1.47.5. In the Chariots. Hope the top 2 score invites to Mile if thats allowed because Bondi Lockdown was huge and deserved to win
Fantastic race - some time set up by Bettor Call Me's Q1
Better Eclipse has been racing for 7mths. He took 5 secs off his best MR but that was over 2300m
The first 9 in the race all went faster than they ever have before
Yes, even 9th Titian Raider who galloped and went to the tail of the main field and was beaten 31m would have broken 1.50
Bondi Lockdown is clearly a super horse but it is also amazing that Krug and Bettor Call Me broke 1.49
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=PC190222
It is funny that what made this a great race was a driver making a big error in judgement/pacing
Here is hoping for a small speed explosion at Birchip on Sunday
If a horse can break 2 minutes - they will be creating history
The 1750m Tk Rec is 2.00.0
The 2150m Tk Rec is 2.00.2
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=IR130322
Is It Wrong To Be Excited - NO, as Isitwrongtobexcited wins R1 at Birchip and becomes the first horse to break 2mins there
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...22#IRB13032203
Not only was the 2700m SS record broken in the Trotting Cup but in the other 2200m MS trot, Ser Patrick's 2.00.0 broke the Tk Rec
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...22#HSC14032208
Good time by now 4yo mare Rogue Wave and the same goes for place-getters Sweet Louise and Eva Mateo (also only a 4yo) in the mares race
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...22#MXM19032205
Lightly raced, now 4yo mare, Let It Linga got within 0.5 secs of the 1785m Tk Rec when winning by 14m in 1.55.7 at Stawell today
2180m Tk Rec holder Sea Lover was in the race and went to the death but nobody could match the beautifully bred winner
Michael Stanley had a big day as in an earlier race Drain The Swamp had equalled Sea Lover's 2180m Tk Rec winning by 17m in 1.56.3
and later on the program he once again trained and drove 3yo Soho Dow Jones who won by nearly 17m
3 winners was not enough to take the driving honours however as Jackie Barker drove 4
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=SW210322
Making up the ground that he did, Letsrockletsroll must have come pretty close to breaking 26 secs at the end of 2240m in R4 at Melton
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...22#MXM26032201
Mach Shard's 1.49.7 winning the Wagga Cup took a 0.6 sec off the Tk Rec
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#EYC16042203
9yo Celestial Trekker seems to have grown another leg since moving to the Tubbs/Sugar stable
He did a pb winning his previous start in 1.54.3 and then tonight comes out and breaks the Echuca track record rating 1.55.3 sitting in the death. The record was about 6yrs old
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#ECC17042201
Not only did Phoenix Prince break the 2600m Tk Rec in the Cup
Cant Top This broke the 2190 Tk Rec with his 1.55.1
The Stewart stable should set up a satellite stable at Mildura, they would only need one staffer and a couple of boxes and they would earn $500k pa what with all the Mildura meets - the Douglas stable have been able to do it with what are B grade horses. A handful of Stewart's 2nd stringers rotating up to Mildura would kill it.
Just when you think you've seen it all in harness racing Gaita Pullicino drives for Emma Stewart....in an Oaks.....over 1800m....and they run 1.52.
That is a 3yo filly taking 1.5 seconds off the Tk Rec and winning by 54m in 1.52.4
Admittedly the record is nearly 6yrs old but we are talking about Mark Dennis when he was an early 8yo (would have been a 7yo under the new system)
It is 364 days since she set her previous best time of 1.54.9 at GD at her second ever start as a 2yo in the Allwoods
Here are links to both

https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...16#GDC26091614
A bit like Lex Luthor teaming up with The Joker. We are all doomed!
Aureus 1.54.1 is not a bad time for a 2yo around Maryborough. The open Tk Rec is 1.52.4

Another one to add to the Lucias First dynasty and Classic Families already has

I missed this one last night
Mr Perfect's win at his first Aussie start set a new 2160m Tk Rec for Echuca
https://www.thetrots.com.au/news/art...-aussie-debut/
I am not sure that 'smashes' was an accurate choice of verb but he did take 0.2 secs off a record that was probably overdue a reduction
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#ECC31052201
Mr Perfect was far from perfect in NZ as his record indicates. He only won 3 with 7 placings from 27 starts, winning at Manawatu, Kapiti Coast and Rangiora. None of these venues and his exposed form suggests he would develop into anything special.
https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/...Arg=Mr+Perfect
He was formerly trained by Steve and Amanda Telfer, currently NZ's leading trainers.
Captain Bellasario took 0.3secs off the Warragul 2210m Tk Rec today recording 1.54.5 in the $25k Eastern Challenge
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...22#WRC13062201
Although it is still slower than the 2195m Tk Rec Jackie Rabbit took a full second off the Ararat 1790m Tk Rec rating 1.56.1 for his third win a row (and paid an incredible $9.70)
