I did too initially but they were right. Karloo Mick went HUGE. Btw, it's not the first time one from left field has gone in and performed well. Years ago Keith Adams flew over to NZ to watch Holmes DG in a private trial at Barry Purdon's place. The horse went in on Keith's say so and duly won the race.
Yes. I love the versatility of the Southern Hemisphere horses :) I must admit I wanted Smoken Up to win after some negative comments connections have recieved over the past several months, but the heart strings did twinge when old Mick loomed up. Talk about people's champion :)
