Did anyone follow this race (Rich?)
I wondered if the money for Intransit came late. The way the caller calls it, you would have thought that Tibytoa was the fav.
Intransit ended up $1.85 fixed odds

Hi Kev, Pretty sure Craig had tipped Tibytoa to win and he should have been the favourite but Intransit was instead and there was a late plonk on him as well. Happy to see the horse win being the breeder but i'm left shaking my head with the circumstances.

Obviously the Stewards were watching a different race to me as the driver made no attempt to keep the horse on the rail. He should have received months instead of weeks. Don't hold up integrity as a strong point with people outside the industry when that happens. Every stereotype against the sport came to the for there.
I would say another half dozen winners at the Cramptown Races tomorrow night
Only 5 in a row (I thought he would win the last 6)
Only 4 tonight but he only had runners in 5 of the races so we will accept the 80% success rate
Hey Kev, Dave Carlsson on SKY tonight said "Shane Cramp owns Mildura"...........where did he get that from I wonder???
An aside to that, watching Happy Valley gallops races tonight............R3.....Quinella pool ....$5.4 million!!!!!! on Supertab!
Ryan Hryohorec shares ownership of Mildura with Shayne Cramp.
3 winners each tonight

The running double on Ryan's R.3-4 winners pd $1.04
Good night for Halls Harness Racing as well......Timansi is definately a horse too look out for in the future super run home.
Haha no Kevin I'm not but if he was for sale I would have him in my stables by now lol
Yeah mate sure did, I was surprised he was paying so much after his last run and against easier competition. Another one to watch is Ratbags Corner got held in traffic but when he seen daylight had a super sprint home, very quick sprint speed.
Same here. But I think there's always a reason for that. I couldn't figure it out though. https://imagicon.info/cat/10-3/smile4.pngQuote:

First four races at Mildura tonight have been run.....and NO S Cramp winners.
I had noticed he didn't have as many starters as usual tonight - including only one starter in the first 4 races Noel :)
I think Shayne may have been playing Santa as all races were won my locals tonight
He did win 2 of the last 3 races however
SJC has only got starters in 5 of the 9 races at Mildura Wednesday night
but he has got 5 of the 9 runners in the 3yo
Can Whats Emma Got beat 5 Cramp runners in the 3yo at Mildura tonight?
http://www.harness.org.au/fields.cfm...romstate=vic#3
She has comprehensively taken care of Taj Bromac at their past 3 meetings & he would probably be considered far superior to his 5 stablemates going round tonight. You'd say that if Dani drives a good race she's basically over the line, but to take the likely $1.50 against 5 in his home town could also be brave hey Kev!
Whats Emma Got - another easy win
A couple of quinellas to SJC but he had to settle for 3 other seconds thanks to the ladies (& Malcolm Rettalick)
Seen that one too. Watch out, I think there's more to come. https://imagicon.info/cat/10-3/1.gif
watching this replay today puts a different feel to the happenings doesnt it Kev!

I never felt it was a great drive Ash - just that it was defensible (maybe even smart?)
I do not know that I ever stated it in plain english but I thought I made it clear that I did not like some of the happenings at Mildura and I do not feel any different watching that race today than what I did months ago
This might be a good time to post my Cramp stats. This year I decided to verify that nearly all the stables wins were at Mildura and took a couple of extra stats for the stable
At this point in the season the SJC stable has 49 wins in Victoria
43 of these were at Mildura ie 88% of their winners
They had starters in 79 out of a total 101 Mildura races (prior to tonight)
ie They won 54% of the races they had starters in
or 43% of all Mildura races
Local domination tonight BUT 8 different locals !
Its what the sport needs a level playing field
Only caught a few races but just loved the competitive finishes.
As Mr Cramp is no longer training nor "Owning Mildura" for now but is the subject of discussion in other threads this thread is now closed.

I have reopened this thread as it is the obvious place for the following
World-first harness racing integrity study
The study focuses on former harness racing participants Shayne and Greg Cramp, who were convicted on race fixing charges at the Melbourne Magistrates Court and subsequently disqualified from participating in the industry for 12 years.
https://www.thetrots.com.au/news/art...tegrity-study/
46 pages for me to read tomorrow
I found Pg.38 Sec.7.6 Group or Team Race Tactics very relevant and found interesting statements such as
This is especially problematic when, as the analysis of the situation at Mildura makes clear, it
is not only corrupt activity but also the perception of corrupt activity that has the capacity to
produce detrimental effects.
There is a clear potential for conflicts of interest for any trainer with multiple horses in the
same event and it is not clear that existing rules and processes enable these conflicts to be
managed effectively. The rules of harness racing are silent on the issue, although HRV
currently has some procedures in place to attempt to address this.
Harness Racing Victoria needs to be confident that its existing
regulations in this area are appropriate in that the costs of addressing the problems caused by
the conflicts produced by trainers having multiple runners in a race outweigh the potential benefits
In regards to the above post about trainers with multiple horses
I heard back from Dayle Brown that
"HRV’s Integrity Department has a dedicated race fixing action plan and other internal policies that specifically relate to mitigating the opportunity of race "
So it would seem that he does not see it as a problem
