Herc would have more of a chance being competitive back at Gloucester Park. I reckon Beautide won't go as well over there. Thoughts?

There is more to it than just age Ash - I brought up Adore Me as a better example than your FF in my original post so you really are missing the point but if you want to go with FF you might notice he has had the equivalent of a whole seasons more racing than Lenny (14 starts) but they are all individuals that develop at different rates
Rattray said in post race interview that if Herc had persisted then he would have taken on TTL so maybe he could have got the death
His biggest problem was that he didn't run the gate. He left it half arsed. If he runs the gate, at the very least, he settles OTL. Big effort to finish 10th, which sounds ridiculous, but he was entitled to finish a clear last.
The winner was amazing but one has question the depth. It wasn't a stellar ID final.
This may clarify it a little...

plus to get prizemoney better than her Ladyship $120k she had to win the Inter.
It was pretty much a bird in the hand story
How long until they ask Cockburn to drive Avonnova again?
Looking at the replay a few times over, geez that was a boring race!! As a few others mentioned, a few or more moves would have at least made it a little more entertaining.
From Stewards Report:
LENNYTHE SHARK was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who reported the horse to be exhibiting a poor recovery and signs consistent with the onset of a virus.
Hope Lenny recovers!! It was weird that he just done nothing with the run that he had!
were there any reports (whispers) of anyone not doing so well in the retention barn similar to that of C Blaster last year??
Must be tough going in the retention barn, Especially for Stallions.
Terror To Love is going around again in the Auckland Cup. It's got to the point now that they're damaging the horses legacy a shade. I'm not saying he's dead but they're flogging him.
Ouch! Hope TTL is all fit and well for the Auckland cup! He is a different horse in NZ, he's a beast!
Another highlight of the day (told wasn't on the channel 9 coverage) was the performance of the NZ and Australian national anthems by Ross La Spina (Big Max on forum).
Thats how you sing a national anthem. Huge Bravos to you Ross!!
I really love terror to Love but the facts don't lie.
NZ 60 Starts - 30 wins 18 places
Aust 14 Starts - 1 win 4 places.
He just does not perform as well away from home and even if he races on I doubt he will ever come back.
TTL scratched from the Auckland cup. Shame!
Cheers Paul, mate if my performance was half as good as Adore Me and Beautide i'll be wrapped!!! i've still got goosebumps from those 2 freaks, and a big thank you to Our Sky Major for putting some extra dosh in mine and dad's pocket!!!
Geez, the missus and I were in awe of the National Anthem performances, and I'm a dead set goose because I didn't join the dots....... Bravo Ross la Spina AKA Big Max, we were only about 15 metres away when you did outstanding versions of both anthems...man that is one beautiful and rugged voice...bravo!
