Kev, he has not driven much in the past 4/5 seasons from the information I gleaned from the HRA website. I found that info pretty easy, just a matter of selecting the right options in the top twenty section.

Chicago bull vs Soho Tribeca and Shandale for a place. The JP stratton cup at GP friday night should be a top race.

Daniel Rose a pearler of a drive in race 7 at Echuca.
He certainly seemed to seize the moment Brendan - I wonder what the QDT is about?

I sure am glad we do not have Gp races where 4/5 runners are from the same stable - I cannot imagine it does much for turnover (even worse than your regular 5 horse race)

Is Million Dollar Cam really the best Sire you have up there?
Nothing wrong with Ameretto and a handy bunch of bread and butter horses from not a lot of foals
Nobody said there was Ray
He had had 179 foals of racing age up until last season.
From last season's winners Ameretto was the only one to have lifetime prizemoney over $30k - Best Sire in NSW for last season? Is what I am asking - I am a Vic and only cast an occasional eye over NSW
Ben Yole had nine horses in this C 2 race 7 at Launceston and the result was that he had the first 6 placegetters. Not exactly Mark Purdon like....but getting there

Million Dollar Cam's award must have been based on Ameretto's performances I would say....
A dam might win a broodmare award for one progeny but you would think it should take more to win a sire's award
Ben Yole must have wondered what he more he had to do after having 9 runners in race 4 at Devonport and still not winning. Maybe because it was Friday the 13th !!!!!

Tassie harness would collapse if Yole was disqualified
Was there a strong headwind in the home straight at Shep today?
The fastest last Q was 29.3
This story was tipping us into Tanaka Eagle
http://www.harness.org.au/media-room...?news_id=35292
But with him getting up at $9.30

I am guessing not too many of us listened
ps It was after looking at Katie's foal pics that I thought to look at the GP program tonight and I noticed one of the Stables and Katie's favourites had drawn 1 but of course I did not back $14.50 winner Three Blind Mice either
Halls used to have Tanaka Eagle. It's grown a leg with the new trainer. Good on him!
And Mouse's field was tough. Not sure too many picked him but he's going a treat. So good to see him win. Did you see Assassinator get away from the stand? Never seen anything like it!!
Genuine Excuse has already had 20 starts this season, including a bunch of meetings where she's raced twice (which I didn't think you could even do)

A while back I brought up the large amount of war related named 2year olds in WA. Just checked the Byford trial fields and saw the attached. Might not be able to see it on desktop as it's a phone screen shot but it interested me:
Billy Boeing, naval aviator, Roman aviator, bee seventeen, royal flight the names of horses in 2 x 5 horse trials

How could you get the year of Baltic Eagles victory so wrong?
Robert Watson has bred 98 Perth inter dominion winners??
They didn't say 'Inter' winners Katie
wow...that is a hell of a lot of "Inters" winners. Might have to rub up next to R.Watson to get some luck.
With the longshots getting up in R3 at Shep tonight we had a jackpot for the First Four
It is amazing how the lure of a $3k start to the pool can see R4's First Four pool balloon out to nearly $21k
Anybody else take their eye off the ball and like me not realize that tonight is our Metro meet for the week in Vic
A little off track here but it must have felt similar to a NZ invasion at Launceston last Sunday when Emma Stewart came to town and won 4 of the 6 races she contested
Why would Vic's leading stable be picking off $7800 races? (and of course the $20k Cup) I imagine it did however constitute a big event. Did you go Pat?
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=LN031217
Yes I did go Kev and thanks for bringing that up, I was ...... off about that approach to the racing at launceston from "the big end of town". I didn't want to appear to be a whinger regarding this issue especially as they had Major Secret come down and take out the cup winning by 21 metres, starting at $1.10 and beating a couple of old ex Victorian claimers. This does nothing for the local competition in my opinion and the harness industry is struggling down here.
I dont know one person who went to watch Major Secret race. I was extremely tempted to approach the 2 legends and tell them to piss off back to the 10 race meetings a week in Victoria and across the border in NSW. But we do see this happen time and time again from Albany to Burnie and the end result is the forcing out the smaller trainer and owners. Tasmania did have a local resident rule either 3 months or 3 starts for a few races at one stage but I have not seen it applied this year. I don't know what the answer is but walking through the stables and looking at local owners and trainers, the disappointment was palpable.
Looks like the meeting has been cancelled Kev.
It is now going to be part of a Big Monday at Melton - it is going to be a day meeting before the scheduled night meeting
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...&fromstate=vic
NB The times in this link are wrong
19 races spread over the 2 meets at Melton tomorrow
Greg Sugars has a drive in the first at 12.47 and one in the last at 10.40 and six in between
Can anybody recall a dead heat for FIRST in a Group ONE race as witnessed in the "Queen of Hearts at Auckland last night??
A BIG Birthday coming up this year Dan :D
I see the following story about an equine artist on HRA
http://www.harness.org.au/media-room...?news_id=35809
But if you click on her link you don't find any harness prints such as those found in the story
If you are after gallops prints, here is an artist I like

Andy Gath only took 3 to Kilmore last night for Kate to drive but that is all they needed to get 3 favourites home
