Hahahahaha !!!!!
Sorry about that Kev, I couldn't resist it and I'm sure Toni will keep. We'll have to keep an eye on Toni for any slip ups and she'll have to watch out for a double pronged attack from the Grey Army.
Hey Breno, I noticed a P.Bryce drove a trial winner at Wagga a couple of days ago, Good chance your related???
Spot on mate. Phil us my uncle. Another uncle got the horse cheap. He is a pretty handy pacer. Going to draw bad and/or be up against quality opposition like tomorrow at Young but the main thing is under new handicapping system it will get a run each week and provide some fun. Hopefully it can get a win one day (tomorrow looks too hard imo) for him.
Yes he's handy alright mate and he's the type of horse that will fly under the radar, Good luck to the Uncle's, They will have some fun with this bloke.
When is a perfectionist NOT THE the perfectionist??????

Hi Dan, The NZ is missing after Perfectionist, 2010 Filly by Bettor's Delight.
One mean looking radar map
http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR021.loop.shtml#skip
has seen Echuca abandoned after 2 races
Jerilderie raider Shane Gilligan was the lucky one
It might not have seemed so after his $73 pop ran 277m last in the first
but he followed it up with an easy win for odds on fav My Mach Scooter in the second
AND they were his only 2 runners for the meet so he was heading home anyway
Emma Stewart must have been on holiday - took her 25 days to get on the scoreboard for this season
6yo M4/C14 class pacer Kotare Roland, winner of tonight's Claiming Masters Final at Melton, was claimed for $35k
Suggests 3rd placegetter 6yo M1/C6 class pacer Classy Weatern's price would not have to drop much from the asking $40k for him to change stables
Terror To Love impressive, Smolda ok first up. Very nice field of horses. This type of replay would be nice Kev. Funny how N.Z. has it all over us in this department!

I'm talking thru my kick but still reckon there's a please explain from A Turnbull in the first from Menangle tonight
The end of an era in some ways today - the last racing activity on the Warragul track before a significant upgrade begins on Monday, October 6 to completely recamber the turns and straights and apply new surface material.
Ironically one of the quickest mile rates ever seen in a trial at Warragul highlighted the program - check out the replay on YouTube www.youtube.com/warragulharness
Love the surrounds Kyle, Really nice with all the trees, Very picturesque. The commentator did a very good job also.
Glad you like it - the freeway is at the back of the trees and the railway runs by the grounds back behind where we film from with the station and freeway exit right near the front gate. We are also only a short dash from the centre of the town so very centrally located!
I will give myself a rare pat on the back as I was the commentator - I also film them at the same time so perhaps you could say multi talented!
In a past life I called races on radio but not anymore (long story), now I have to sit and watch!
You should have pressed on with calling Kyle
Looking at some old photo albums last few days. Horse I had a share in used to race there (Warragul) often. When it was the 3 furlong track. Late 1986 - early 1987.
Only have pages from racebook. One of them December 1986. Says fastest mile rate recorded 2.04 Winsaffair 1979-80.
Our horse went 2.15 winning trial Yarrambat. That made him a 'moral' next start. (No better than 28) Warragul 30-12-1986. 5/1 into 5/2. Ran 2nd beaten 1.5m in 2.14.
Winner trained by Noel Alexander and driven by Jayne Davies.
They have won plenty of races there over the years Paul so you were bound to run into them at some stage!
The camber on the bends will be lifted from 8% to 12.5% and on the straights from around 2% to 4% when works commence shortly. New surface as well plus the flat spots, soft spots and hard spots etc should disappear. The engineer tells me the track should quicken by a couple of seconds. The current record sits around 1:57.4 so I am excited about what might be achieved on reopening day, December 1. They did go 1:56.7 around there in the 90's before the pegs went in and distances changed.
The track is 22 metres wide from rail to outside fence, a legacy of when they decided to start running 10 off the front in Victoria (briefly) in the late 80's so there is plenty of room to move.
We have thought at the club that the track might end up a little like Delaware, home of Little Brown Jug which is a bit shorter and narrower than Warragul but banked really well. John Tapp's comments on In The Gig last week were interesting. He went to the Jug and commented on the amazing quality of the track. We might just end up with a point of difference in Victoria when our track reopens.
Here is a photo of the track for those who have not been trackside before
By the way Paul I would have pressed on with calling too but I got stopped in my tracks a year ago and those who look after that won't let me anymore!
As I said, a long story, probably one many have their own versions of from their own lives/careers!
Sounds fantastic Kyle, There's definitley room for a Delaware style track in Oz and the times should be improved a hell of a lot with the banking works. Good luck mate, I might have to reschedule my trip down to a Victoria.
We'll make you welcome Richard at "the best little track in Victoria!"
Hopefully we can have our own "Delaware" style event at our annual Easter Sunday meeting within the next decade.
Thanks Kyle, I've always loved that remark in Field of Dreams, Build it and they will come and Easter Sunday sounds perfect.
All the best with it Kyle. Our bloke won his first race start there and came back and won again later (undefeated there!). Always very, very fond memories.
Wayne Potter took 3 to Cranbourne tonight and they all saluted

$15.70, $4.60, $3.10
Letting $10 ride would have given you $2239
Mark(Normy) Pitt would have been ticked pink with the $15.70 winner, He's in partnership with Wayne's wife in this mare and I'm pretty sure that Jack Knight might have had a couple of bucks on the winner. Well done Wayne and Mark.
THREE CLAIMS were made for Kotare and they had to have a ballot

Why would a driver do this?

RACE 4 – SURE PRODUCTS Q0 PACE (C2+) 2138m MS
It was established by stewards that A Barnes (STORMY TARA) (NZ) drove in this event without wearing a body protector. Subsequently A Barnes was charged under Rule 159 (7) to which he pleaded guilty. When assessing the matter of penalty stewards were mindful that A Barnes was advised to wear an approved vest two weeks prior to tonight’s race and that in tonight’s race he failed to wear a vest at all and also his failure to wear a vest in tonight’s event presented a serious workplace health and safety risk. In view of these circumstances Mr. Barnes’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 3 months.
He might not like wearing one
He might not believe in 'new' regulations
Remember there were plenty of people that needed convincing/fines to wear seatbelts
Maybe but they have been in for about 10 years.....
Might not have had his wife there to tell him what to wear.
Anybody know what is happening down at Emma Stewart's stable?
Spelling, holiday, virus or does she always start the season slowly?
Last season she finished with 148 winners but in the first month of this season she only has 1 (from minimal starters)
She has Goodtime Mike in tomorrow night and Guaranteed on Saturday but none in at home-Ballarat on Friday
How often do the stewards deny a change of tactics request? Regardless of good form or bad.

Race 3 – XXXX GOLD PACE 1980m
Pre race blood samples were collected from CLEOPATRA SHANNON.
An application was tendered by the connections of CLEOPATRA SHANNON to drive the mare in a more aggressive manner at the start. Acting under Rule 44(2) stewards denied this application due to the extremely poor recent form of the mare.
D Germon ( CLEOPATRA SHANNON) pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 231(2) of misconduct in that leaving the 700m he used loud unacceptable language. D Germon was fined $200.
