Didn't hear any commentary Kev but there was this earlier in the week http://www.harness.org.au/media-room...?news_id=36453 He may have needed the run.
Loved Maraetai. He's learning what it's all about.

Shez All Rock, the head turning filly who ran second to Higherthananeagle in the track record George Croxford at Cobram.
Started favourite in that too from memory. I was guilty of thinking Nostra Villa had too much on them, not sure if Puppet set the correct tempo first go over 2400m though.
How about early season 3yo fillies going 1.54.8 over 2400m, Blacks A Fake Menangle interdom was 1.53.8. Crazy stuff.
Rightio folks what do you fancy in the Oaks and Derby?
I really like Fame Assured in the Oaks but I am finding the Derby hard to pick as I don't really like Colt 31 drawing 1

There is a little conjecture over whether 1 is a good draw for Colt Thirty One but I think it is. Not to say he is any better than Poster Boy and Maraetei or for that matter even Higherthananeagle but from that draw I think he wins.
I thought Fame Assured was the best run in the heats and thought she would be favourite. It does look a race in four and an easy box trifecta with the four favourites.
Congratulations to Anne (Bonnie) - her Poster Boy deserved a Derby
(The Queenslanders didn't really turn up tonight although I did not like the idea of Colt 31 leading)
Like the Vic Derby heat Colt 31 gets done by not having the sprint in him - not saying he necessarily the best 3yo and should be winning all the Derbies but just that from that draw he should have won. Take nothing away from Poster Boy though he deserves his Derby and has his claim as being the premier 3yo.
Thank you for the congratulations. It was a great thrill to win a Derby with my favourite horse. I do think he races better from behind and Chris drove him to perfection. It was a great nights racing at Menangle , they do it so professionally . Well done to all involved with the Club.
Sunday was APG Sales Day at the new Inglis complex at Warwick Farm. An amazing , state of the art facility . Superior accommodation for horses and humans. Well worth a visit on any sales day if you get the chance.
With the Pitt family having the $120k of the Oaks in the bank, Mark has a buffer for whatever transpires in April
