Just had a glance at a couple of meets Kev, 20 minutes between races at the Meadowlands and 18 minutes at Pocono
At Harrah’s Philadelphia on Sunday it is 20 mins between races. Race 1 at 12.30pm and race 14 at 5pm. I will add that I have rarely seen a US harness program run on time.
The NA tracks, which are privately owned, do usually run large cards with short intervals between races, but there is little communication between tracks with regard to scheduling racedays and race cards and with no central wagering or broadcasting entity much of the racing tramples over each other in the simulcasting space with negative impacts on wagering returns. There are attempts being made to improve this because the declining horse population is making it difficult to fill the large cards and to improve wagering returns from simulcast to the tracks and the trainers. 14 race cards and 20 minute intervals may increasingly be a thing of the past there soon Kev
