"Hippodromic passion" that'll do me Megan. Is that even a word (hippodromic)?
Fair enough. I'm not sure I agree it's in context.
You don't agree with the context of the usage (please give the alternative) then you aver no knowledge of the phrase (or is that the word?)
Yes that's correct. After reading the press release I put google to good use to look up the word hippodrome. Exactly what Megan does prior to writing her press release!
I would have just used the word passion on it's own, I think the adjective was unneccessary.
I have noticed BHRC has been taken to task a few times on this forum with some rather John Singleton-like adulation and excessive hyperbole when promoting their events. Got no problem with innovative promotion, but one has to keep in mind if you are promising the moon, then you had better deliver on your promise.
If the water truck issue has been addressed, then that's good enough for me!
Mind you, Megans use of poetic licence always makes for 'exciting' reading.
For mine, rather than periodically consulting Roget's Thesaurus during the production phase of their Press Releases...they'd be better served making sure the Water Truck starts.
