You probably saw this but if not have a look at the horse in the Red and white. Franco Nelson. I don't think I have seen a horse chuck a race like this before.

Am I missing something in this story TC? After watching that replay I click on Franco Nelson (to find out if he had a history of turning it up) and on his page he is listed as winning that race?!Quote:

Harvey.....I don't believe he has been gelded yet but it must linger in the trainer's mind somewhere. He did turn up at Auckland last week with his A game however.
teecee, on the link you provided under the replay screen it lists Franco Nelson as 2nd BUT if you click on his name and bring up his details then scroll down to near the bottom of the page where it lists the horse's recent starts IT HAS HIM AS WINNING :eek:

The driver would have been hurting. An absolute peach.
Just had a look at the replay again and the stewards report. The horse in the death was stood down for hanging out but the horse did it atleast 70 metres before the incident and Chickies Boy run up the back of it. Very strange decision in my opinion.

Wasn't Lombo Skyrider a bit like that??probably not as far as turning it up, but used to have a good look around and cost himself some real nice races. Certainly had a lot of ability and pretty sure he was the 1st Oz bred to run 1.50 in North America.
