Amazing run by Vulcan from that position. We'll have stories updated throughout the day (plus replays) here: http://www.harnesslink.com/www/Article.cgi?ID=89739
A very snappy 2yo & 3yo double to Pegasus Spur & the Dickie crew, nice one...and what about Carabella...3 wide, breeze , to the front, toughed it out in deep stretch. Everything had their chance and they couldn't get her. That's a great filly.
Congrats to Mightymo who bred Fly Like An Eagle
he is an absolute star. Just toyed with them. Pity he had a virus in the APG series. Cant wait to get him back here for the Breeders crown
what a thrill to have bred one that good
well done Harvey
For me Vulcan was run of the day.
Nice work mate. He bolted in. Congratulations! :D
Given no peace in front, toughed it out in the stretch and just managed to hold them off. That win took BD's 2yo & 3yo Southern Hemisphere seasonal earnings to over $4.34 million.
My only hope is that a certain 4th Estate, 5th Column hack has been watching events unfold.
Congrats Mightymo!!
Not only did he win, he is now the fastest 2yo in Australasian history..... 1.54.6 awesome!!!
I'm interested in the plan to bring him back to Australia for the Vicbred and Breeders Crown..... he must be an iron horse as well!!!
Hey Congrats Mightymo - well done. Went to the jewels and had a great day/night. I think you'll find the best horse in each heat won all the races. Neat days harness action.
A slashing effort but not quite the Australasian Record mark there Zipper.
The pocket battleship himself... Smiling Shard...paced in 1:53.7 at 2yrs at Ashburton on May 30th, 2009, Dexter Dunn in the bike for Cran Dalgety.
Hello Mightymo,
Congratulations on breeding such a good horse. I have only had one of mine that I have bred race so far and it was such a thrill to see him race in the flesh and win.
Makes all the hard work and setbacks seem worthwhile.
Well done Mightymo.
Regards,
Sue
