4yo mare Cocorocks was a 20 start Maiden when she was transferred to the Stewart stable, two 3rds were her claim to fame
AND YET at her first start for them she was $1.12 Fixed - $1.30 Tote. She ran 2nd - she led so no excuses really
Tonight (one week later) she was $1.22 Fixed - $1.10 Tote. She won

What does it say about the Ainsworths, Eeles and McNaulty's (previous trainers) or simply form?

With a nod to PP's diligent and proven formula there was the magical 22 days between runs between trainers for its first-up second (at $1.55 and $41 its previous start).

    And no pre-race swab.

I don't think the former trainers are complete mugs. All of us are.

It was a pretty ordinary night for favourites at Shep on Saturday night
and it seems to be continuing tonight

If Hautacam is supposed to be an above average trotter then I feel confident that Majestic Em and Wills Magic can win a race

6yo Teddy Runkle had 1 of 32 before today before going around at $1.65 fav ($1.40 tote) at Hamilton today
Yes he won but he had a young driver on him who showed no idea of pace in R1 so those odds must seem ridiculous to those who do not know our game
    It was a nice drive

If you get the Early Quaddie at Geelong tonight for <$50, I imagine you will have done very well.
3 of the legs are trots, 2 of which are maidens (3 Quaddie legs are actually maidens) and the easiest leg might be the last which is a 2yo trot of 6 first starters

It was interesting to note that in the last leg of 6 novice trotters, Chris Lang and dare I say the stable were only interested in looking after their horse and thinking long term, which did not mean sitting in the death for her first start.
You will see that Chris was looking for the spot 3 back the pegs (not where you expect an odds on fav in a 6 horse race) but the other horse kicked up

The same could be said for second start 2yo pacer Joe Got Rolled $1.22 fav in R1 at Mildura
Despite there being no sprint lane, they were happy for Joe to take the sit behind the leader

It pays to listen to Dan, in the last minute or two leading up to R6 at Geelong he was saying that Petillante drifted from $1.55 to $2.10 fixed
It is hard to know how you would have gotten on at those odds if you fancied the B&W figures as the following snip was taken 5min after advertised start time (post race)

I will show the post race crap that the TAB put up in the next post as I can only attach one per post
    This should be investigated

Here is the supposed B&W figures that were on offer Fixed pre Race - I even refreshed my browser but those figures were never available pre jump

Dan is saying the drift was extraordinary - I will tell you why it happened Dan - nobody wanted to back her at $1.55 and NOBODY KNEW ABOUT THE DRIFT as the TAB never updated the fixed, she would have drifted a bit but not that much eg if punters knew she was out to $2 she would have probably been supported back into say $1.80
