One and the same, he had a trotter called Torpedo Kid then followed up with its half-brother, a high class trotter in El Cordobies. He kept El Cordobies as a colt, rare to see in a local trotter in the era. He threw some handy winners from limited opportunities.
I remember El Cordobies at the Showgrounds - a memorable name. He won 5 races at the Showgrounds and 1 at Moonee Valley. I checked one of the wins for you Bob and KR was on him (I would say he probably drove him for them all). El won a NSW and SA Derby with K Rawiller in the sulky
Thanks for reviving the memories Bob
I also remember him as a jumps jockey

Keith trains a galloper or two from his property at Huntly.
He is immersed in equine excellence.
Top class jockeys Brad and Nash are sons. Daughter Stacey is or was a jockey.
Keith's late brother Stewart Rawiller was an excellent jocker and trainer.
Apprentice jockey Campbell Rawiller is Nash's son and Keith's grandson.
His sister Val is married to Bendigo trainer Alan Browell. Their late son Colin was a very good jockey.
It's no surprise that the family excel at all things equine... Keith, Stuart and Val's mother was a Rothacker.
I'm sure that Keith's mother was a daughter of Charlie Rothacker, brother of Vic (father or Des, Eric and Stuart) and Bill Rothacker ( father of Gordon and Albert)
Fellas thanks for that info on K Rawiller, his name was brought to my mind being a jockey turned Trotting driver following a "little whisper" I got about an All Time Great jockey going to sit his backside in a gig.
It may be a bit premature to name this person at the minute, but he is a history making hoop around Cup time, leave it with you. Time will tell. as I said it only "whisper".

Bob
