No replay available and from what you have said Adam, It doesn't sound very good.
Does anybody on here know if autopsies are conducted on all horses that die on the race track???
I think the last race at Menangle today might prove to be an interesting one...
Maybe this is HRNSW chance to make a stand here???
Take possession of the horse and conduct a thorough autopsy!!!

I'm sure it was nothing untoward Richard...
Just another routine day at the races!!!
It was Black Caprice had a heart attack.
I think cause of the rarity of horses dying on track autopsies are automatic to ensure its not a contagion that caused death , all we need is another horse flu type thing to wipe out horse population they are struggling for horses to race at the moment.
Still waiting for stewards report on harness.org no mention just had it down as a late scratching
Heart attacks happen in every walk of life, personal experience was a few years ago, a horse I had in training for several months, took him to the educational trials twice, and he went really nice, lined him up to qualify the next week and he died in running in the home straight last time around...the horse felt terrific until he felt like he was dead, and in fact he was, a very unnerving and unique experience.
An awfull incident, that still causes me to ask if I could have done something different with his preparation.
