I was one of those poor folk who stayed up and continued to watch what was one of the biggest shambles ever. Elitlopp, nah Elitflop!
Bold Eagle should have been scratched and the race delayed. A disgrace!
I watched one of the greatest performances ever by an Aussie in Europe last night.

Just heard that Maori Time will finish her racing career in Europe.
According to the official stats, Maori Time trotted the last 7/8ths of her race in 1:50 5/10ths so she most certainly proved herself despite not making it to the final
Also reading 53.44 from the 1200 to the 400 for Maori Time. Should continue to do Australia proud during her time in Europe. The discussion is she will conclude her career and be put in foal over there. Perhaps she will return carrying a little Bold Eagle!

Bold Eagle may very well not have received the VIP treatment many perceived. Seemed there was a lot going on that many were not aware of, and a lot of which was perhaps misinterpreted by many on the day.
