Trish, that was the exact reason, training fees were unable to be justified given the prizemoney on offer. Previously you could train horses and get a return for the owners and ourselves (trainers) but I don't know how you can do this today unless you are domiciled at or near Menangle. Just what the NSWHRC always aimed for, well they've got it, stuff everyone else. What did Marie Antoinette say ? 'let them eat cake'
