I see that for the 11 races if you were not in the first 4 at the bell you could not win (pretty much first 2)

Caviar Star's younger half-brother may be a starter in the Ballarat Cup next week - Self Assured!
Terrible shame there mother has passed on, what a broodmare she was. Many of her foals, including Self Assured but not Caviar Star, were from embryo transplant. Fortunately she had one filly, a 2 year old full sister to Self Assured. All her foals and winners to date have been by different sires. Self Assured (only started racing 7 months ago) is her most recent and her final three progeny, like him, are all by Bettors Delight.
Yes Trev, to win an Auckland Cup at only your 10th start and after only 7 months of racing is amazing

I believe it was a good 4th by Rod's roughie
I cannot be sure as the replay does not give you the last 600m - they must have a 3.10 cut off LOL

Here is a good description of the race

The sound in the replay was atrocious anyway

Ridiculous amount of stakemoney wasted on what amounted to a Friday night free for all. Until there is more certainty in air freighting horses from east to west and, most importantly, return when scheduled the Grand Circuit remains a joke.
