Right - thanks Leon

The Derby is going to be a tricky affair
Bay of Biscay's heat was easily the quickest but still 4 secs off the Tk Rec set by Max Delight when he won the Derby 5yrs ago
The placegetters were just as impressive as the winner, in fact after his little mistake Nathan Street was probably more impressive but Nathan still does not seem to be a foolproof pacer
We Walk By Faith was very short winning the slowest heat but came home very fast without knocking my socks off
In the last the on pace runners all proved too good without suggesting any were the likely Derby winner
Nearly all the runners will be 3rd up and improved for the Derby
Sergeant Lou will be 4th up but all three have been over the sprint trip
Draw dependent I still lean toward him as he has looked good this prep

Sergeant Lou drawing 9/10 makes it look pretty hard for Michael Bellman to win his first Gp1

Sorry Michael but I cannot help but think the younger Greg Sugars who has won 60 of them would be my choice - please prove me wrong

The draw stitched up the Sergeant
The others all had their chance
It would seem that I was right to not be impressed by We Walk as he did not fire a shot tonight
Robert Watson puts a lot of money into our sport and Delightful Jade was one of his good ones and now she continues to produce in the barn for him
