Preface: Thread is probably of no interest to the vast majority, however it could be applicable to other locations. I've noticed it at Wagga but could be a problem in other places.

It seems that those horses/trainers/drivers involved in the last race on a card at Wagga are perfectly behaved. What other reason would there be for the final races always having a very short stewards report.
If you ever want to pull one up/juice one up the last at Wagga would be the race to do so imo. I definitely wouldn't condone that though.

The only meeting in the last five/six weeks that you could say the last race was done equal to the other races was when it was just a seven race programme. Would I be so cynical to suggest the last race gets neglected simply because stewards want to clock off a shift? Or over the course of the day have the stewards just inflicted their authority and everybody behaves by the last race .

I shall keep an idea on next weeks final race report!
