Yeah we'll Melpark drew ok alright.
Who would have thought, Trigger gets to the lead easily and Melpark death seats outside and wears him down to win by a half head, 28.6, 27.3 MR 2:01.5. 2700M.
Melpark has been racing exceptionally well and deserves a big win well done awesome effort.
I must say, Trigger does race with his tail up, but today it was extra high in the last 50m as if he looked a little in pain somewhere?

Ash, don't think there will ever be any doubt that Trigger won't be contesting the prime position in any race, thats how he usually does it. They were like two old bulls that think this paddock is theirs only, gapped the rest and put on a great race. How blessed is Horsham to have seen these two great warriors doing the tooth and nail. MM was due to get one eventually but today he showed he has still got it plus more. Nosing out Trigger is no mean feat. Age shall not weary them...???

Spot on Brad how good was it to see these old warriors fight out the finish, two super horses who have had some great titanic battles over the years.

A super run from Melpark Major...thoroughly deserved the win & definately deserves a little more recognition than he & his connections get.
Gee wasnt Choise Achievers run disappointing..couldnt believe a horse of that calibre with the run it got couldnt go with them
A top run from Motu Cruisader I thought...his last quarter would of been stellar
Great race..!!!...the longer distance races are awesome

I agree Ash...certainly looks as if Trigger is in some discomfort...whether he is or not is not a good look
because that would be the conclusion many would come to..
How tuff is the old bugger..!!!
