i thought i would start this thread after i had a conversation with my brother the other day...he has a 5yo unraced mare in work that is almost ready to go to the big track for a step up in her work,on asking him how was she going and what he thought of her,his answer was that she`s as tough as any horse he`s ever trained but only time will tell if she will have any speed.he stated that being a mare his was concerned with her size 14.1-14.2...i answered that so long as she`s got a heart it should`nt matter, which brings me to my thread, can you guys and gals out there add to a list of good little races mares that you know or can remember racing.i will start the list off with 1960`s robin dundee 14.2 hands.

Going back 35 years, a tiny mare named Ranji Bill was a prolific winner at Harold Park. She was a real crowd favourite and was driven in a lot of her races by Kim Moore when lady drivers were just breaking into the game. Kim later became a successful galloping trainer and married Australian cricketer Mark Waugh.
I'm not sure what height she was, but she was about as small as you will see.
(That is Ranji Bill I'm referring to, although Kim was also very petite)
