His place in the silver was based on Automatic Field Selection points as he didn't contest a heat(?). Must have had the highest AFS points of the noms for the last spot in the silver...which happened to be as the emergency. Must of meant insufficient semi final contestants, who didn't qualify for the final, nominated for the Silver(?)
I have only read over it once, a while ago, the new Super Series race eligibility conditions, so, from memory the above explanation might be close.


Considering Waikiki and the Breeders Challenge, even though we're talking about Silver and Bronze...as the title of the thread highlights, it pays to be VicBred and it pays to study race eligibility as you could get caught out.


Another observation, the Bronze pace was combined, fillies with the boys. A reflection of the decrease in foaling numbers. I guess it's good a filly won with the PBD/sex.
