YIRRIBEE Pacing Stud is sad to announce that the great COURAGE UNDER FIRE was euthanazed on Saturday morning after sustaining a broken shoulder overnight in the stable.
Staff are still in shock at the loss of the farm's star stallion, to say they are shattered would be an understatement.
COURAGE UNDER FIRE was one of the very best stallions standing at Stud in the Southern Hemisphere and was set to stand his first season at YIRRIBEE Pacing Stud in NSW.
... As a racehorse, the 14.3hh COURAGE UNDER FIRE was legendary. He recorded a best time of 1:54.2 and prizemoney of $1,485,629.
At stud, COURAGE UNDER FIRE proved to be a remarkable sire of classic winning juveniles that have the ability to progress through to Cup class. His progeny has won an astounding $14,761,520 to date.
