Cosmic Under Fire in Adelaide would be 14. He won the Warragul Cup in 2008, perhaps we could get him back for the tenth anniversary this year.
Looking at the fields for Ararat tomorrow night I noticed that Walberon is going around in R8, as usual I am a bit slow on the uptake as it is his 3rd start for the season. Walberon is a 15yo

Anybody know of any older still going around?

Danno had a drive a couple of weeks ago and will drive this Sat'dee night @ Newie and he is 60 at the end of the month!!!
AND definitely not complaining!!
oops!
Old Shardons Rocket and Mysta Magical Mach are still going around for Svilicich - both born in 2004 so I guess that makes them 13? (I'm no good at maths) Shardon's raced 349 times, Mach 177. They both deserve a big green paddock. Nothing like 15yo in WA that I know of though..
I know big green paddocks, especially green onesare hard to come by but surely someone has one lined up for Danno....Yes???...No???
Mind you I haven't found one yet for me and I have a couple on Danno
or this paddock containing a kindred spirit

Are you really keeping that for Dan??
On a serious note, I think the harness racing clubs should revert to the rule they applied many years ago that is a horse must retire on reaching a certain age I'm not sure what it was but I think in WA it was 13.
Alternatively, if they are not prepared to do that then maybe the RSPCA should investigate.
There is a certain well-known trainer who runs his horses off their legs he just doesn't know when to stop. If the knowledge of how old these horses are and the number of starts they've had gets out to the uninformed public then I would suggest it is bad publicity for the sport.
