Wasn't that the final where Galactic Star copped severe interference which knocked him virtually out of the race can't remember whose fault it was incompetence by the driver of GS or the driver of the horse when Galactic Star contacted the wheel. Any way just watched what the drivers said Anthony Frisby: had a bit of luck got a nice trail into the race and he ran on well just to put a better perspective into the race. Couldn't find the actual race just a video about what the drivers said talking to just about everybody except what Ryan Warwick had to say typical eastern states bias. Galactic Star did go into the final as one of the top qualifiers.

It certainly was a costly mistake by Warwick that night Rod
Greg Sugars was a Champion harness racing person
Ryan Warwick, in my opinion, is overrated as a driver when you are driving the best horses in races they can make average look good. True about WA drivers they can put the fear into the hearts of some visitors especially Chris Voak best driver in the state in my opinion.

Agreed WA drivers are average Rod.
Willie Pike is up to 0/32 in Melbourne now I am led to believe.
No, Brendan, I didn't say they were average would you call the likes of Chris Lewis, Chris Voak, Gary Hall Jnr, Kim Prentice, Colin Brown and many more average? don't think so. We just like to cut your eastern state's drivers down to size.
Agree on William Pike he just hasn't worked out the differences in tracks over there especially Flemington. He rides on two tracks here Ascot and Belmont.
Wasn't too bad a ride to get within a length of the Alligator but Willie's jumped off and on to one with a 3kg turnaround. Got to love Alligator Blood but Willie could be cursing Mark Zahra come Saturday night. 0/33![]()
