She is so tough - Michael Guerin did point out how special her win against open company (RNRDoo) was in assessing form
Greg Sugars was a Champion harness racing person

Leap To Fame sensational, Captain Ravishing so much talent, eating my words about Tasmania thanks to Magician
    What a time
(Catch A Wave more a sprinter)
Does Grant Dixon drive LTF tough too often? I think the same about Michael Stanley and RNRD

Dixon better driving LTF that way to leave nothing to chance because he is a superior stayer to any opposition.

Probably one of the best races in a long time. True tempo, big track, long distance gave everyone a chance.

Who knew Encipher had this in her. Well done.

Great to see RNR Who win the Len Smith. Another non-pressure Gp1 win where you could throw a blanket over them at the finish like last years Vic Cup procession. He's good enough to have won them and a GC horse but watch his odds tumble and provide overs for horses that can win in the high pressure GP1s later in the year.

Your criticism of RNRDoo is off Brendan. Take the blinkers off. His first up against Encipher was so good that both Guerin and Graham selected him last night and Guerin rated Encipher a real chance in the big one because she beat him last start (although his was the run of the race)
You will have to name the winners when these races come up as having the field against one is easy

Nothing in the actual paper (may have been borderline too late for their early deadline) but the Sydney Morning Herald do have a Eureka story on their homepage

Its not so much the horse its the overrating by pundits.

Act Now will beat him. Honolua Bay is better than him. They are triple the price in the Vic Cup and double the price in the Inter.

Yesterdays race at Eagle Farm containing name Eureka $107K in NSW win pool. Our Eureka $40K in win pool.

A survey to see who recognises the names Mr Brightside, Alligator Blood and I Wish I Win V Encipher, Leap to Fame and Captain Ravishing would be interesting. I'd say we would get outnumbered 10 to 1 or even worse.

Yes, we all know that the majority of the population do not even know we exist but what do we (not that we get a say) do about it.
We are not a mainstream sport anymore so we do not get coverage
How do we become a mainstream sport without coverage
    Is our product exciting enough?
I think telling the stories is valuable but cannot counter a product that is not exciting enough
I would have thought that still being the main form of night horse racing would be an advantage but it is not producing results

For a long time now I have said that we need to employ a Frenchman to produce a Prix d'Amerique for us
I also believe in handicap racing for the excitement factor
Imagine a slots race where owners know that they can definitely race one of their own stable as it is a discretionary Stand Start
I reckon there could be a bit of interest in slots if you know that

I think Mick Guerin suggested that the 3yo's were not ready to take on the 4yo's yet
But Encipher did not break the Tk Rec
That still belongs to Max Delight set in a NSW Derby on March 2, 2019 (6mths younger than The Lost Storm)
What with all the raving about how good The Lost Storm is, maybe he is not as good as we have seen in the past.
You would have to think Max Delight would have won the Eureka with that run and quite possibly a couple of others

Guerin also said the difference was more now given the later season. Thats BS as the 3yos are basically 4yos now. 3yos racing 4yos 6 months ago the difference is much bigger. Back in Feb the 3yos are only 80% of the age of 4yos whereas now its about 85%.

I did think the Lost Storm would go better. Max Delight did cover less ground. The 26.5 3rd qtr last night would have smashed the anaerobic system and built up the lactic acid, whereas in the Derby they ran more even qtrs so would not have maxxed out the anaerobic system.
