We went to Ashburton when we went over for the NZ cup a few years ago . Yes everyone gets a chance on that track.

Feel for LTF. Not sure what he does from there if DH leads. Hummmmmm

Can only hope the 1 holds up or something with brilliant gate speed can cross to make it a race.

Does Grant make it his job to beat DH?
1st is $450k, 2nd is $150k, 3rd $100k
For most people $150k is nothing to be sneezed at
So do you drive LTF to give him the best possible run (and guarantee $150k) and let the race/rest of the field worry about DH - after all there is no guarantee that DH will be totally on-song on the night either
Unlike the rest of the field, even if LTF is not on-song he still runs a place IMO

Of course the other way to look at is - if LTF puts DH to the sword, LTF will still run a place so the risk is worth the reward

Good thinking Kev , if he put the sword to DH , one can only hope or he might sit back & hope as you say others take care of the race. God knows. Like most it would be good if it was not boring like some races lately.
