Begin by typing a key word or words from the previous post in the Search box on the blue menu bar at the top right of every page. If you find too many matches and you know extra info such as who the poster was or whether the word you're looking...
I was reminded today that the best way to view this forum is to click on NEW POSTS which is on the 2nd toolbar at the top of the page. I had missed out on seeing a couple of posts I did not want to miss and using NEW POSTS would have made sure I...
With ongoing drug scandals in Australia it's important that everybody understands what can and can't be said on a public forum from a legal perspective. A public forum IS NOT the same as chatting to people at the track. Legally it's akin to...
Looks a competitive field and congratulations to the club on their full page colour ad on pg 9 in the local paper (only wish they had highlighted the Admission - FREE a little better as this is something that the gallops would be charging $20 for)...
Quite a deal of hurt coming for the Queensland participants with significant cuts to prize money and breeding incentives being announced yesterday. Gold Coast Bulletin provides the details ...
Just wondering he doesn't seem to have any thing racing right now and his company doesn't seem to be sponsoring races as much if at all.Anyone know if he is just having quiet time or has walked away over the positives.
http://www.harness.org.au/meeting-results.cfm?mc=BN191115&ms=vic#BNC19111503 In the first at Bendigo tonight over 1650m they have run 1.54.1 6yo mare Miss Metro Glen has led and beaten her best winning time by 4.8 sec Best winning time's are...
I've returned to Oz just in time for Perth. I'm flying over on Thursday for a couple of weeks. The series has fallen away a little with scratchings and the Kiwi's are too precious. They've become so accustomed to NSW and VIC virtually gifting them...
Having really only just rejoined the hearing world again, I realize I have not necessarily been missing out on much. I knew about the named/sponsored sprint lanes but to hear that the Bendigo back straight is sponsored is bordering on ridiculous...
http://www.harnesslink.com/Australia/Changes-to-racing-calendar-for-January-February I am somewhat loathe to start this thread at this point in time as Paris/France is one of my very favourite places in the world and my heart bleeds for them (I...
You cannot say that we Vics are not accommodating - allocating barriers 1-4 to Qld & NSW raiders (before the scratching of MB) I expect the Jinx to hand up just to stitch up Lenny - the stable would seem to have a 'cant lose' scenario if he hands...
Not sure why this has not made it onto here yet but the promised audit into Victorian harness racing was released last Friday. http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/home/justice+system/laws+and+regulation/report+on+the+audit+of+harness+racing+victoria
Arden Rooney and Kerryn got the chocolates.
I thought about totaling the number of winner driven by the 12 Veterans driving at Bendigo on Saturday night, but the stats only go back into the 70s. No good, as Colin Redwood started in 1954, and Neville Welsh drove his first winner at...
This topic has been discussed from time to time, and a number of the posters on this forum seem to either want to scrap 2yo racing or divert significant prizemoney from 2 and 3yo's to open class pacers. In light of this, I found this article from...
What a sensational back drop for a track. Check out the video folks Arden sat parked and came home the last 800 in 55 http://infohorse.hrnz.co.nz/datahr/results/110226rs.htm#Race8
http://www.harness.org.au/news-article.cfm?news_id=27911 ..trainers will be required to phone the COT hotline before a cut-off time, which will be one hour prior to the first race of that meeting. The Chairman of Stewards for the meeting will...
http://www.theage.com.au/business/slapped-on-the-wrist-racefix-scheme-participants-set-to-get-only-minor-penalty-20150902-gjdicp.html I cannot remember their HRV penalty - or were they waiting for the police case to conclude?
g'day all, I know this subject has been discussed at length on this forum previously but I really feel that the RBD system is something that the sport seriously needs to address urgently if the sport has any chance of progressing into the future....
1.47.7 from the death Speechless
http://www.harness.org.au/fields.cfm?mc=QB171015&fromstate=vic#7 I think Arden Rooney might be ready to return to his Cups winning form and take home most of the $35,610
That was a 'fair' effort by M2 Bling It On to win in that time while Philadelphia Man actually went up in my estimation. It was a cracking race partly due IMO to the way the barriers fell - it was somewhat like a preferential draw.
been told flightpath went around at Eugowra show yesterday
