Guilty of tubing on Inter night but 1,000 DAYS later Douglas and Tormey still racing

925 days and although disqualified they have served no time except for delays between stays
They continue to win races and make one question the integrity in harness racing
assisted by trainers and owners who do not care and still support them

I will update the count until we have a conclusion
For details see the following thread

    http://www.harnessracingforum.com/sh...Tormey-charged

    post 36 states their disqualification

Of course we know that Mr Asbestos has done worse and only received 6mths for that

Ah, the tube-ee not the tube-ee.

Julie Douglas must be an easy going person.

    From the Supreme Court

    Conclusion
82 Leave to appeal should be granted and the appeal allowed. In place of the
orders of the primary judge, the appeal to the Trial Division should be allowed and
the decision of VCAT that it lacked jurisdiction should be set aside. We will hear the
    parties as to costs.

And so it continues, skimmed the 27 page ruling - you're a better person than me if you can be bothered doing more

Read it all and it sounds like a duty statement for a legal clerk. Spend a few months trolling for legal precedents, take a months animal leave and start again.

I read the ruling, but it defeated me.
Could someone more skilled with legalese explain what this means for the parties involved now please?

Noel, it means that they can appeal their disqualifications to VCAT so who knows how long the wait for that may be

Glenn must have 'mended some fences' with Julie as he is back as the main driver lately
