I reckon Jason Grimson is also a good thing to Quinella the Pacing Cup today
As well as Bendigo on Saturday (see separate thread)
we have Cobram on Sunday
I wonder why they limit their's to a max of 105 NR?
The Trotting Cup has only attracted 6 but it still looks a good field

Curly James wins the Cup - his dam is a ¾ sister to Ladies In Red and bred by Anne

Hamilton would be very happy with the quality of the fields for both their Cups on Sunday

Interesting to see Plymouth Chubb now a 4yo, taking on some quality trotters
I am still not sure how I feel about the Pacing Cup being over a short/middle distance
It really makes it a handicap for the better rated horses in this PBD

Trainers would not appear to have supported Shep very well tonight
Half the races only have 5 or 6 runners

What a contrast - last week to this week
Last week's Lead Time was 1.52 pace for the Shep Cup the Lead Time was nearly 2.05 pace

Trotters had better watch out or else they will lose Stand Starts too
All 3 favourites blew the start in the Hamilton Trotting Cup today

It is the St Arnaud cup on Monday
Correction - it is no their Cup but rather the $25k Central Vic Pacing Championship and the $25k Central Vic Trotting Championship
I am going to leave this post here for now
Maybe if I can get myself healthy
It is over 100km away But it is in the same Shire as me (we are The Big Country)

It's good to see that the time honoured Central Vic Championships run as a co-operative between Charlton, Boort, Wedderburn, Maryborough and St Arnaud Clubs, has reverted to its original formaat of heats (two of them) and a final.
The first was won at Echuca in 1960 by Miracle Echo, trained by Ken Wills and driven by former chief steward Rod Osborne.

The trotting version followed 20 years later:
