Jilliby Chevy smashed the Tk Rec for 1660m rating 1.50.6

He drew inside the 2nd row and spent some time in the death so in my book it was the equivalent of a sub 1.50

It was nearly the fastest country track in Victoria before today and now it holds the mantle by a good way

3yo Foolish Pleasure's 2.00.0 for 1750m equalled the Tk Rec at Birchip today

While 9yo Gollahman's 2.00.2 for 2150m set a new Tk Rec

11yo I Am I Cried's 2.04.9 for 1750m in the trot would be a new mark for the trotters as I do not think they have raced over that distance before

There looked to be a good crowd there for Birchip's once a year meet

Soho Hamilton ran 1.54.4 at Maryborough trials over 1690m on Sunday ! Not bad for a 2yo. I was pretty happy with my fillies effort to finish 3rd just 13m away.

On a cold night at Bendigo, C3 pacer Whats In The Esky ran another fast time for 1650m when he went 1.53.1
Back in October he ran 1.53.6 and tonight was only his 2nd start back after a 6mth spell
The 1650m Tk Rec of 1.52.0 is held by Konan who set the mark in his 3rd ever start when a 3yo
You would think that this record could be considerably lower if the open class ever had a crack at it
