What a great story Paul.
It should also be pointed out Luke is a future race caller as well. I stood next to him at the breeders crown semi's at Ballarat last year and listened to him call the races with and he is some talent!

Also it looks like HRV has done a super job in marketing the whole SMOKEN UP farewell
Oh yeh. Calls into his voice recorder at Melton every week. Also does off telly too but only off of broadcasts he doesn't know the results of yet. Not just local ones. Gets colours off of overseas racing websites, learns them and records overnight races and calls next day after school. Tbreds too. Am sure it was Fred that told him not to bother with ones that he knew the result of as he wouldn't be learning anything.
Loads all onto PC to save them. Got 1000s of them now.
Saturdays are the 'worst' days here. Unfortunately his bedroom not soundproof. He starts at 10am and doesn't stop until after the last at the trots.
But it does get the other kids out of the house....
For all you breeding buffs and Trigger lovers, the breeder of Smoken Up has posted photos of him as a foal with his Mum on Lance's facebook.https://www.facebook.com/lance.justice.7

He might of retired from racing tonight but the name Smoken Up will be engraved in the sport forever he has been a great Ambassador for harness racing and he has earnt his place alongside champions such as Blacks a fake, Popular Alm and so on.
