Some trotters have a lot of ability Brent but can also be total nutcases, if they go off, they go off and its goodnight! Frances Annie is one of those, you always need a plan B with horses like her if you bet outright on her, just too risky. What horses like her do is put up the opportunity for a longshot/medium shot to get up and the Tri or First 4 to pay well. Hinault is another similarly gifted looney tune!

Welcome aboard Bruce.
Amarula is certainly a nice type. Caldow drove her a treat yesterday but she did the rest, beating up on a few nice types (males at that) in the process. The reason I was an interested viewer yesterday was because of her performance at her previous start at Ballarat. She went a low 42 second lead time (which is flying) and was still able to close in a sub 29 sec qrt. Sure, she got a nice 'breather' after the early burn but few trotting fillies are able to do what she did that night. Exciting times ahead for her connections no doubt.
