(Oh) Jonny B Good on his Oz debut in a C1 at Bendigo tonight took a MASSIVE 0.7 sec off the Bendigo Tk Record
He rated 1.54.9 over 2150m when winning by over 23m and he is only a 3yo (LOL Times A Bonus ran 2nd)
Regular readers may remember us talking about 'The Beatles' family in our Brilliant Names thread. If you click on his pedigree in the link below you will see that Jonny's 3rd dam Norwegian Wood was the one who started all the names
He has some form back in NZ and has been racing against the best

Track Record
Great result for the renovation work carried 2 weeks ago out on the Lord's Raceway ( Bendigo) track.

Insurance cover ( result of the strom damage in January) saw the track base rebuilt with over 2000 tonnes of basalt rom Axedale, and then 250 tonnes of a new surface.
The result has been a credit to all involved, with track records, and more importantly a well cushioned surface allowing horses to run to their potentiial without jarring.

Noel in my opinion bendigo is the best and most consistent surface of any track in vic. Always perfectly cushioned whatever the conditions. Well done to all concerned.

I know how much better the tracks are etc etc but it is amazing when you compare to a few years ago - we now have 2yoF's running 1.54 on debut

Am I right in thinking that Heavens Trend's 1.52.1 at Menangle tonight took a whole 2.2 secs off the 2yoF Class Record and equalled Lettucerockthem's 2yoC&G Record !
